Gullaford Farm is situated in Landscove near Ashburton, Devon, and farmed by Andy Hayllor and family. Andy, together with his brother, was a founder member of the co-operative in 1997 and has played an active role in the co-operative ever since and is currently a board member.
The farm has a loamy clay soil with shillet and has sloping to level ground. The climate is best described as wet.
The farm grows Organic carrots, Purple Sprouting Broccoli, Curly Kale, Buttonhole Kale, Calabrese, Courgettes, Zephyr Courgettes, Sugar Snap Peas, French Beans, Savoy Cabbage, Broad Beans, Courgettes, Leeks, Beetroot, Black Kale, Cauliflower, Turnips, Swedes and Red and White Potatoes. All of which we then sell on to our customers to place in Organic Vegetable boxes.
The farm also has a herd of Organic suckler Beef, Organic broiler chickens, Organic and conventional arable land and football pitches.
